This course on advanced biomicroscopy is covering the fundamental working principles of modern light microscopes used in life science. This also comprises the physical basics of optical physics as this is required for a in-depth understanding. Besides theoretical aspects it is also integral part of the course to get in touch and use modern light microscopes. The aim is to learn and understand how they can be used to answer biological questions. Therefore also image processing will be taught throughout the course.
